Hallo and good morning Sara and Paul,
A few weeks ago I ordered a Barbour Ashby Jacket in black at your’s!
Well, in the meantime it arrived, and I’m very pleased with it! I’m wearing Barbour Jackets now for 32 years, bought my first one when I was eighteen, mainly for fishing, it was a Beaufort and this one is still in good shape and, of course, in use! In earlier times there was the slogan BARBOUR – THE BEST BRITISH CLOTHING FOR THE WORST BRITISH WEATHER, and this is really very true!!! I don’t want to miss one of my Barbour jackets!!! But there is one thing I don’t like about the newer Barbour wax jackets – they don’t smell so fine waxy as in the earlier times! I’m convinced this is on account of some health regulations, that maybe the waxy smell, the odor or other aromatics or ingredients could cause allergic reactions or alike…
And after all, you told me that you are a small family business, and that’s another reason for me to look forward doing further business with you, I think it’s a good thing to support the smaller, family-run companies and I do this over here at home as well! And nevertheless it is a very good feeling for me not only to wear a fine english-style country jacket, but also to know having purchased it in England… I go very well with it!!!
