Product Code: BI518American Dee Snaffles may look very different with their odd shaped cheek but they work in pretty much the same way as other snaffle bits. The dee shaped cheek, was developed in America, for the same reasons as the eggbutt
was invented in England i.e. to prevent the pinching and rubbing caused by badly finished or ill-fitting loose ring bits.
The main difference the Dee cheek gives, is slight directional assistance, making use of the face of the horse, similar to that of the full cheek snaffle. The size of the dee also means it cannot be pulled through the horse's mouth.
This dee bit incorporates copper rollers to improve acceptance by the horse and is available in three sizes only. Make your selection from the pull down menu.
How to correctly adjust the height of your new bit. It is best to do most of the adjustment before putting the bridle on the horse so, put the bit onto the bridle then hold it up to the side of the horse's face. Then put the top of the headpiece level with the top of the horse's head (poll) and the mouthpiece of the bit level with the corner of the mouth. Next adjust
the bridle to fit. The cheekpieces should be adjusted, so that the bit lies in the correct position in the horse's mouth, i.e. leaving a little wrinkle at each corner of the mouth. Do not fit the bit to high, so that the horse appears to be grinning. Do not fit the bit too low, so that the bit hits the horse's teeth.
Established in the late eighteenth century (1700s) the Eldonian brand is one of the original and most respected names in riding hardware throughout the equestrian world. Eldonian is owned and marketed by Jeffries, under whose supervision only the finest stainless steel is used, to manufacture bits in a carefully-controlled engineering environment. This ensures that Eldonian stainless steel hardware meets the exacting standards of quality, strength, reliability and safety demanded by today's discerning riders.

Dear Customers, Don't struggle to identify the suitcase wheel or spare part you need. Email me a picture, email@example.com or call us on 01494 775577.
Customers SayI'm very pleased with the part order that arrived this morning and already have them up on the wall. Don't worry about the parts now - I've relooked at the broken ones and see what you mean about being fastened to the martingales. If I can't repair them myself I will some new ones from you as your prices are very reasonable. I'm pleased I found you by doing an internet search on horse brasses and accessories.

Now that's what I call quick service!! Thanks so much. I'm restoring my mum's brasses so she can have them with her in her new care home. She's a bit hacked off with life at present so you can imagine how thrilled she was when I found I could replace the perished leather for her and that they will soon be in display in her room. Thanks again for your fantastic service.
