Cheltenham Eggbutt Gag Bit
cheltenham eggbutt gag bit biEggbutt cheek bits stop the pinching which can be associated with loose ring bits. These bits are good for novice riders or horses that are fussy in their mouths, as the cheek reduces any subtle movements felt from the rein. Gag bits work by raising the bit in the horses mouth by using the roof and upper bars, this in turn raises the horses head. Such bits are used in conjunction with rope or leather gag cheeks. These cheeks are rolled, so that the bit can slide freely up and down. The bars are the areas of gum on the upper and lower jaws, between the front and back teeth, where the bit sits. These days it is considered inhumane to use the roof of the mouth, as it has little flesh to protect it and so it is not often used. Gag bits should be used on two reins, so that the snaffle action can be used for the most part and the correctional gag rein only when necessary to raise the horse's head. This Cheltenham Eggbutt Gag bit is available in four sizes, make your selection from the pull down menu. Established in the late eighteenth century (1700s) the Eldonian brand is one of the original and most respected names in riding hardware throughout the equestrian world. Eldonian is owned and marketed by Jeffries, under whose supervision only the finest stainless steel is used, to manufacture bits in a carefully-controlled engineering environment. This ensures that Eldonian stainless steel hardware meets the exacting standards of quality, strength, reliability and safety demanded by today's discerning riders.

Balding Gag Bit
balding gag bit biLoose ring bits give a more subtle form of communication between horse and rider than fixed cheek bits, like eggbutt or full cheek bits. Gag bits should be used on two reins, so that the snaffle action can be used for the most part and the correctional gag rein only when necessary to raise the horse's head. This Balding Gag bit is available in two sizes, make your selection from the pull down menu. Sizing Loose Ring Bits - there should be a 1/4" gap each side of the horse's face. Loose ring bit which are too narrow can nip the horse's lips because the cheek slides through the hole in the mouthpiece and the lips can be pulled into the gap. Please take care to get the sizing right, as we cannot take back used horse bits. How to correctly adjust the height of your new bit. It is best to do most of the adjustment before putting the bridle on the horse so, put the bit onto the bridle then hold it up to the side of the horse's face. Then put the top of the headpiece level with the top of the horse's head (poll) and the mouthpiece of the bit level with the corner of the mouth. Next adjust the bridle to fit. The cheekpieces should be adjusted, so that the bit lies in the correct position in the horse's mouth, i.e. leaving a little wrinkle at each corner of the mouth. Do not fit the bit to high, so that the horse appears to be grinning. Do not fit the bit too low, so that the bit hits the horse's teeth. Customers Say

Thanks for the parts. Excellent service and parts fitted the briefcase perfectly. The replacement parts you sent were far better than the original ones fitted, so now the briefcase is fully repaired and back in action.
Thanks.

Kevin P., Surrey
I received the package on December 31st and I am delighted with it. Thank you very much!

Thank you wheel and axle arrived safely and the wheel has been used to replace the faulty one. I am delighted with it. There was one small problem which I easily fixed. The axle was a mite short. As far as I could see you only have the one length. Apart from that I am completely satisfied. Regards

Good morning Paul, My bag arrived yesterday and I just wanted to say I am really pleased with the work youve carried out. The changes you have made have improved the bag and made it much easier to open and close. The work carried out was done to an extremely high standard. Thanks again for taking this on and for making the changes to my laptop bag so quickly. Regards and thanks,

Many thanks for the prompt dispatch of the handbag lock that I ordered last week. My bag is now mended and as secure as ever!
Happy new year to you.

I have just received the jewellery roll dear Paul - wondeful. I'll order two more!

Sara P., London
Im impressed. Your "familiar" tone in your e-mail makes the day even lighter. I like very much small family businesses, but they are hard to find these days in what some call the rich world. I think the richness makes us poor! I look forward to the sweater. I have one already. Its beautiful. The old one is XXL but it feels very, very "cosy" to "step inside" - and thats what I like ; comfortable clothing - "comfortable" people.
Best regards to both of you.

Rolf M., Norway
The hat has arrived today and it's gorgeous. Thank you so much for your attention to my small order.
