Globe Pelham
globe pelham biPelham bits attempt the same results as a double bridle, but using only one bit. They work on the points of control in the mouth, plus the poll and curb groove. The result of pressure on the curb groove, is a pivoting action, causing the head to tilt into the conventional 'on the bit' postition. Double reins should be used, so that the curb action is exerted only when required. One rein via the use of roundings. Pelham bits are good for strong horses. This Globe Pelham Bit is now available in 4.5 inches only. How to correctly adjust the height of your new bit. It is best to do most of the adjustment before putting the bridle on the horse so, put the bit onto the bridle then hold it up to the side of the horse's face. Then put the top of the headpiece level with the top of the horse's head (poll) and the mouthpiece of the bit level with the corner of the mouth. Next adjust the bridle to fit. The cheekpieces should be adjusted, so that the bit lies in the correct position in the horse's mouth, i.e. leaving a little wrinkle at each corner of the mouth. Do not fit the bit to high, so that the horse appears to be grinning. Do not fit the bit too low, so that the bit hits the horse's teeth. Established in the late eighteenth century (1700s) the Eldonian brand is one of the original and most respected names in riding hardware throughout the equestrian world. Eldonian is owned and marketed by Jeffries, under whose supervision only the finest stainless steel is used, to manufacture bits in a carefully-controlled engineering environment. This ensures that Eldonian stainless steel hardware meets the exacting standards of quality, strength, reliability and safety demanded by today's discerning riders.

CUSTOMERS SAY

Hi Sara and Paul,

Many thanks. They have just been delivered.

Just for your interest, the story behind the order: My mother has not been well recently and is just getting back on her feet after a long stay in hospital. She has just started to do things round the house again and insisted on taking out a small pile of crockery, but being a bit shaky, dropped a mug which shattered. She was very upset. The mug was the Barn Owl mug and was a favourite of my father's who passed away 2 years ago. It took a couple of hours of internet searching and a few surreptitious trips to the bin to look at the pieces of the broken mug until I found that you were selling an exact match.

The otter mug was to keep the barn owl company on the journey! :-)

I am expecting a few tears from Mum later when I take the mugs round to her, but this time they will be tears of joy!

Many thanks for your fast service.

Best Regards,

David W., Essex
Hi Paul, just a short note to thank you for the speedy delivery of the wheels and spindles I ordered from you yesterday, they arrived this morning via our friendly postman. In fact I've fitted the new wheels which, has given a new lease of life to my wheeled suitcase the whole job took less than an hour. Many thanks

Hi Sara & Paul and thank you for your email.

I cannot believe the excellent service I have received from your company and I have already passed your details onto some of my colleagues.

The boots arrived this morning!

Hello. Just wanted to say thank you for the exceptional service I have received from you regarding my Barbour jacket which I only ordered yesterday afternoon. Many thanks.

Ben G., York
Thank you, order received this morning.

It was ordered as a replacement for one of an old pair whose centre strap had broken. The remaining old one now looks really old and decrepit alongside the bright new one. So much so that I am retiring it and have ordered another replacement for it.

Tony T., Lancashire
Package has arrived! Thanks a lot! Am very pleased! Best Regards.

Maria N., Sweden
Suitcase repaired - thanks for your help.
Richard M., Barnet
Just to say I received the lighter which my Mum was very pleased with (Birthday Pressie). Thank you for the kind, prompt service. I will definitely look at your website in the future.
