Globe Pelham
globe pelham biPelham bits attempt the same results as a double bridle, but using only one bit. They work on the points of control in the mouth, plus the poll and curb groove. The result of pressure on the curb groove, is a pivoting action, causing the head to tilt into the conventional 'on the bit' postition. Double reins should be used, so that the curb action is exerted only when required. One rein via the use of roundings. Pelham bits are good for strong horses. This Globe Pelham Bit is now available in 4.5 inches only. How to correctly adjust the height of your new bit. It is best to do most of the adjustment before putting the bridle on the horse so, put the bit onto the bridle then hold it up to the side of the horse's face. Then put the top of the headpiece level with the top of the horse's head (poll) and the mouthpiece of the bit level with the corner of the mouth. Next adjust the bridle to fit. The cheekpieces should be adjusted, so that the bit lies in the correct position in the horse's mouth, i.e. leaving a little wrinkle at each corner of the mouth. Do not fit the bit to high, so that the horse appears to be grinning. Do not fit the bit too low, so that the bit hits the horse's teeth. Established in the late eighteenth century (1700s) the Eldonian brand is one of the original and most respected names in riding hardware throughout the equestrian world. Eldonian is owned and marketed by Jeffries, under whose supervision only the finest stainless steel is used, to manufacture bits in a carefully-controlled engineering environment. This ensures that Eldonian stainless steel hardware meets the exacting standards of quality, strength, reliability and safety demanded by today's discerning riders.

Customers Say

Hi Paul, I'd just like to thank you for the speed and quality of your service! I might want another of these Barbour jackets this week too! Kind Regards.

Paul S., South Yorkshire
Hello Sara, My lock arrived on time and it was perfect.
Can I just say many thanks to both you and I think it was Paul, who I spoke to on the phone to discuss the order.
I really was getting nowhere trying to replace this Delsey lock until I hit your site.
It was a pleasure to actually talk to someone who was both knowledgable and very helpful and I will certainly use you again.
Once again many thanks for all your help.
Best wishes,

Duncan C., Cheshire
Many thanks for the swift turn-around of my handbag strap -the colour is perfect! Thanks.

Kate D., London
Thanks Paul. Barbour gave me your details & thank you for your service it was first class.
Graham, Ballyclare
Thank you Paul, I would just like to confirm that the jacket arrived today exactly as you stated it would.
I know that there were a few issues with this order which was not the fault of either myself or your company, but I would just like to say how this was completely mitigated by the response of the excellent staff that I dealt with at Cox the Saddler, it was much appreciated.
Again many thanks.

Richard B., Taunton
Thank you for your after care checking to see if all is ok with my order, may I say "fantastic". Im very happy with my order but also very impressed with you customer service, I will definitely order with yourselves again, therefore will be making my family and collegues at work aware of your Company.

Georgina K., Milton Keynes
Thank you for your quick delivery and your ferrules are a perfect fit for my folding seat! I'm very happy that they have an internal metal seating, which should stop them wearing through so much this time. Very satisfied customer! Many thanks again,
Wendy M., Kent
Thank you for the vintage luggage lock. I have an otherwise nice, traditional briefcase whose one flaw was its rather cheap, contemporary-styled pseudo-patinated stamped metal lock. Once your lock arrived, I removed the varnish and had my cobbler make the substitution, and the result is excellent. I get a small click of satisfaction every time I use it. Although I work near New York's garment district, I wasn't able to find anything comparable, so thank you for carrying this product.

My daughters do a lot of riding, and I was interested to see that, even accounting for shipping, a lot of your tack is favorably priced compared to local tack shops. We'll certainly keep you in mind.

Reid G., Connecticut
Hi Sara & Paul and thank you for your email.

I cannot believe the excellent service I have received from your company and I have already passed your details onto some of my colleagues.

The boots arrived this morning!

Thanks again.

Brenda F., Glasgow
Paul, Received today. The grub screw that I needed fits perfectly in the catch on the original bag. My wife will be delighted; as am I as you can imagine. Many thanks.

Christopher E., Bristol
