Cheltenham Eggbutt Gag Bit
cheltenham eggbutt gag bit biEggbutt cheek bits stop the pinching which can be associated with loose ring bits. These bits are good for novice riders or horses that are fussy in their mouths, as the cheek reduces any subtle movements felt from the rein. Gag bits work by raising the bit in the horses mouth by using the roof and upper bars, this in turn raises the horses head. Such bits are used in conjunction with rope or leather gag cheeks. These cheeks are rolled, so that the bit can slide freely up and down. The bars are the areas of gum on the upper and lower jaws, between the front and back teeth, where the bit sits. These days it is considered inhumane to use the roof of the mouth, as it has little flesh to protect it and so it is not often used. Gag bits should be used on two reins, so that the snaffle action can be used for the most part and the correctional gag rein only when necessary to raise the horse's head. This Cheltenham Eggbutt Gag bit is available in four sizes, make your selection from the pull down menu. Established in the late eighteenth century (1700s) the Eldonian brand is one of the original and most respected names in riding hardware throughout the equestrian world. Eldonian is owned and marketed by Jeffries, under whose supervision only the finest stainless steel is used, to manufacture bits in a carefully-controlled engineering environment. This ensures that Eldonian stainless steel hardware meets the exacting standards of quality, strength, reliability and safety demanded by today's discerning riders.

Balding Gag Bit
balding gag bit biLoose ring bits give a more subtle form of communication between horse and rider than fixed cheek bits, like eggbutt or full cheek bits. This Balding Gag bit is available in two sizes, make your selection from the pull down menu. Sizing Loose Ring Bits - there should be a 1/4" gap each side of the horse's face. Loose ring bit which are too narrow can nip the horse's lips because the cheek slides through the hole in the mouthpiece and the lips can be pulled into the gap. Please take care to get the sizing right, as we cannot take back used horse bits. How to correctly adjust the height of your new bit. It is best to do most of the adjustment before putting the bridle on the horse so, put the bit onto the bridle then hold it up to the side of the horse's face. Then put the top of the headpiece level with the top of the horse's head (poll) and the mouthpiece of the bit level with the corner of the mouth. Next adjust the bridle to fit. The cheekpieces should be adjusted, so that the bit lies in the correct position in the horse's mouth, i.e. leaving a little wrinkle at each corner of the mouth. Do not fit the bit to high, so that the horse appears to be grinning. Do not fit the bit too low, so that the bit hits the horse's teeth. Established in the late eighteenth century (1700s) the Eldonian brand is one of the original and most respected names in riding hardware throughout the equestrian world. Thanks very much for the fast delivery of this lovely bag.

Thanks very much for the up-date information. I will register on your web site. The service I have received from you has been first class - something that is somewhat of a rarity these days. I am confident that I will use your services again soon.

Roger B., Alcester
Barbour hat received this morning. I am delighted with it and it was well worth waiting for! I appreciate your regular contact to advise me of progress with the order and will certainly approach you again when I require your merchandise. Kind regards.

Jillian F., Suffolk
Thank you, my clasp has arrived today, excellent service. I only needed the back plate with the twist lock and although the plate is wider than the Mulberry one on my old Annie bag the twist lock is the correct size for the slot so I should be able to effect the repair, don't want to remove the front plate as it has the Mulberry logo.

My thanks again.

Jayne M., Oxfordshire
Great service. It arrived today and is perfect. This is the second time I've bought from you and I'm really pleased. Thank you.

Jenny J., Surrey
Hi Sara, wheels arrived fine yesterday (Friday our time) and I had to very slightly extend the holes to fit the new ones, but once on they look the same as the old ones. VERY pleased with this as it restores my wheeled carry-on bag to proper running, so now I can whizz through the airports again without sounding like, well you know what those bags with a stone or something caught on the wheel sounds like on those tiled floors!
Best regards,

Gavin W., Australia
Thanks for the lovely purse - with such a fast delivery time. I will recommend you to family and friends. Have a lovely Christmas.
Carol M., Kings Norton
Dear Sara, We spoke just a moment ago: thank you ever so much for arranging despatch so quickly. It is also lovely to have found you - coincidentally I grew up in Berkhamstead and am frequently in the area seeing my mum, so I will certainly pop into the store next time I'm home.

Many thanks again,

Katie H., London
