This replacement oval French snap clasp is the precursor to the magnetic clasp. It is very traditional and has historically been used on many handbags. Used as a replacement it will maintain the authenticity of a vintage handbag. It is available in brass only as shown. Supplied with backplate. The approximate length of the snap clasp is 22.5mm and the width 15.5mm.This range of replacement parts is useful for practically minded people, who have a broken handbag or briefcase they do not want to part with and who do not have a saddler or luggage repairer in their neighbourhood.
