Urgent Appeal - Lizzies Barn
Fionna and all her animals, mostly rescue dogs, are in a desperate situation in that their lane, their fields, their yard and the barn itself
are all flooded. The Council wants to evacuate them but of course Fionna won't leave her animals.
So people are rallying around to help as much as possible. The dogs are OK. Some are in her daughter's caravan, some in
barns playing in bales of hay and some at a higher level in the barn. So they are safe for the moment.
Everyone is praying that the water level will drop soon but the forecast is not good.
Here is what Fionna needs now:
1. Blankets- preferably fleece or / acrylic / vet bed type- as they wash & dry well.
2. Towels- dogs love water play & wonder why they are cold after!
3. Washing powder, etc
4. Dry storage bins- preferrably plastic with lids- for everything that would suffer from getting wet!
5. Washing machine & tumble dryer
6. Discinfectants
7. Plastic Sky crates in larger sizes - for use as beds, while dogs may not be with their usual buddies.
For repairs / redecoration / future defences
1. B&Q / Focus/ Travis Perkins vouchers - for building materials etc
2. Shelving, Metal shelving bars & brackets
3. Extra mops & buckets
4. Builders barrow- for wheeling concrete
5. Patio slabs & breeze blocks
6. A friendly solicitor who could advise us if we have a case worth taking
If you can contribute or have some contacts in retail, that would be great.
