Dylan & Dougal came from Tavistock Market in October 2007 having been unsold. We think they are brothers, as they came from the same herd and look so similar! We hope to home them together for this reason. They are both small foals and won’t be very big when fully grown! They are both very sweet ponies and have had headcollars on and have learned to lead. They enjoy a fuss, Dougal in particular. He is happy to have his legs touched and is starting to pick them up,
Dylan is also getting there! The Dartmoor Pony Training Centre takes on unsold ponies from market, re-homes them to permanent loan homes and promotes the breed. Dartmoor Hill ponies are wonderful sweet natured ponies and make excellent riding and driving ponies as well as companions and even therapy ponies. We insist our ponies go to homes where they have company and ideally we want them to be able to live out. We ask for a small donation, to help towards the running costs of the centre. Devon

Benji is a foal we took on from market at the end of last year. Large foal, should make a good height. Very chilled! Plods along and loves a good scratch, very friendly. He has had problems with his back legs, they click a bit whilst he walks. Should grow out of this as he gets older but would be something to think of if taking him on as a future riding pony. Happy to be groomed and have his feet picked out and leads very well. Once you give him attention though he will not leave you alone! As he is still young, he must be re-homed to a place he can live out with an older pony, and preferably go with another of our foals.
